Public Relations (PR)
What is it?
Public Relations accounts for a myriad of tools used to communicate with stakeholders (customers, employees, shareholders and so on). In general terms PR is a management activity used to mould viewpoints and opinions held by a company’s stakeholders.
Public Relations can include tools such as;
-
Press Releases (company news which is sent to an array of related media houses)
-
Press Conferences
-
Interviews
-
Events
TMS PR Solutions
TMS provides a comprehensive press release service. For some clients this is an ad-hoc service used when they need to get one-off corporate news out to their stakeholders e.g. a business merger. But, for many clients this is a long standing relationship where a continual flow of information is created and sent to the relevant media sources for inclusion in; local press, trade press and national press publications.
Why PR should be in the promotional mix
-
To reach stakeholders in a highly credible fashion
-
To communicate with specific audiences in a way that paid-for-media cannot using a marketing tool which is viewed as more ‘credible’
-
To develop a strong and visual corporate reputation and identity within local, trade and national arenas
-
To proactively manage a corporate image and reputation amongst key stakeholders
